The links contain detailed infomation on a range of subjects concerning the campaign on the Eastern Front and also make interesting reading. http://www.battlefield.ru - This website provides very detailed histories and specifications of all the vehicles of the Russian tank forces plus other articles. If you are struggling to find specific information, this site has an excellent forum which will provide the answer.
http://www.wwiivehicles.com - A web site where you'll be able to find detailed information on a large variety of WWII vehicles with specifications and photos. http://worldwar2.free.fr/blindealle.html - A website in French I think, although simple enough to navigate. It contains a good selection of photos of both vehicles and personnel from a variety of WWII armies. http://ww2photo.mimerswell.com/ - A comprehensive photo gallery of personnel, aircraft, vehicles and artillery from a variety of countries. The site is not in English but is easily navigable. http://www.lexikon-der-wehrmacht.de - A site that provides detailed information on German weapons and equipment, unfortunately in German but useful if you can navigate it. http://www.feldgrau.com/ - This site is probably the best site for detailed research on German units, weapons and equipment. The forums at this site should be able to provide any information, no matter how obscure, on a variety of military history subjects. http://www.worldwar2.ro/ - This is an excellent site containing information on the Romanian armed forces, their actions, equipment, organization, aircraft and weapons. There is also a forum where you can seek information not covered in the site. http://www.axishistory.com - Probably the most comprehensive website for information on the German Army and its allies. If you are struggling to find specific information, this sites excellent forum will provide the answer.
Historical Articles http://hwar1941.narod.ru/ - This site gives detailed information on the opening battles of the campaign, which took place during 1941. http://www.redarmystudies.net - Red Army Studies Website provides a selection of historical articles in .PDF format, available for free download. Some of the file sizes are quite large, but there is some excellent information at this site. http://www.army.mil/cmh-pg/BOOKS/WWII/20234/20234.html - This web page provides a study of encirclement operations, a unique phenomenon during the Russian campaign.
