The conflict on the Eastern Front during WWII saw some of the fiercest and bloodiest fighting of the war. But it was not only a battle between two vast armies, it was also a battle of cultures, politics, and ideals. It was a conflict of Nazism v Stalinism, Fascism v Communism, East v West. This was a conflict, which would shape the modern world.
However, having become interested in this campaign, I found it extremely difficult to find detailed information on the subject.
The purpose of this website therefore, is to provide an unbiased account, in some detail, of the conflict on the Eastern Front, between June 1941 and April 1945. It is also to provide a historical database of information, on this otherwise poorly publicised conflict.
